ALL ABOUT PENN STATE- Penn State Football is back!

The Big 10 announced this week that they are going to resume the 2020 football season. That means Penn State Football is back!

They announced that the season is set to begin Oct. 23-24. The release included significant detail about daily testing for COVID-19 and the establishment of a cardiac registry to determine the virus' effects on athletes.

If a player is diagnosed with COVID-19, he must wait 21 days before returning to play. Daily testing will begin by Sept. 30, the conference said.

Penn State Athletic Director Sandy Barbour stated "The opportunity to safely return to athletic competition is a positive for not only our athletics department, but our campus community and Penn State Nation. Most importantly, I am thrilled for our student-athletes, coaches & staff, as I know how much continued work they have put in during this Summer and Fall with their eyes on returning to competition."

The Big Ten plans an eight-game regular season, beginning the weekend of Oct. 23-24, with a unique "plus-one" championship week in December.

The Big 10 plans to announce updates on other sports continuing soon as well. Set your calendars for October 24th & look forward to watching Penn State back in action!
